Everyone's favorite New England dip! A blend of dill, dill seed, dried minced onion and parsley. Combine with sour cream or yogurt to make a delicious appetizer with fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips. Excellent topping for baked potatoes. A mixture developed here by the Community. These mixtures have been time tested by the Shaker Sisters and Brethren in our own kitchen to the applause of the Community and our guests. We highly recommend these superior blends. The Shaker Dill Dip set includes 1 tin and 2 refillable bags of Shaker Dill Dip Mix, presented in a vintage dip bowl (designs will vary) and a hand-carved wooden spreading knife/spreader by our own Chuck Perry. Simply add equal parts sour cream and mayo (classic combo), sour cream and plain yogurt (modern combo), or just yogurt (healthy combo) and our Dill Dip mix to taste. Since 1799, the Sabbathday Lake Shakers have cultivated, packaged, and sold to the public the most popular varieties of sweet herbs and medicinal teas.  Following that same early tradition, today we offer a selection of gourmet culinary herbs, herbal blends, spices and herbal teas that represent our long and continuing heritage. Our herbs are grown in gardens more than 200 years old, dried in a facility built in 1845, and packaged in tin canisters just like those used by our forebears throughout the 1800s.
