Sturdy as a rock! This table is handmade for Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village by American Stonecraft in Lowell, MA from a rock picked on the property. This table features a large blue-green-gray stone polished to a mirror-like finish and is firmly attached to dark steel hairpin legs with optional leveling rubber fittings.
The Shakers have cultivated their land since 1783. The hedgerows are piled with stones picked from the croplands each spring. These naturally beautiful slabs are created from polished slices of Shaker fieldstones deposited in the earth by glaciers eons ago. Stamped on the reverse with the name: “Shaker Village, New Gloucester, ME.”
