Leanne- Scottish Highland Cow Sponsorship

Leanne was not this cow’s original name. It was Fiona, but we already had one of those in the fold. Her name was changed as Brother Arnold’s cousin (named Leanne) had a white cow named for her and when the original died, she asked him to change the name so she would still have a cow here. Leanne, the cow, is sisters with Heather and New Mexico. She’s the most curious of the 3!

The “sponsor” program is an opportunity for you to support Shaker Village and the restoration of the Shaker Barn. Your one-time donation of $200—representing less than 55 cents a day—provides the support we need to fulfill the additional drainage and structural work on the Barn renovation to keep these animals safe and well homed.

Each sponsorship recipient will receive:
– A handmade Scottish Highland Cow ornament made from Shaker wool
– A 5×7 photograph of Leann
– A certificate of your sponsorship with her personal story
– Donor will receive a tax receipt

This sponsorship counts towards our Sheep VS Cows fundraiser and will be tallied into the Scottish Highland team!
