Heather – Scottish Highland Cow Sponsorship

Heather – Heather, Leanne, and New Mexico are sisters. They came to us through a friend who was selling his farm and moving to a condo.  We agreed to take them and give them a good life on the Shaker Farm.  They are mostly a law unto themselves and stick close by each other.  Her gorgeous heather brown hair is where her name comes from.

The “sponsor” program is an opportunity for you to support Shaker Village and the restoration of the Shaker Barn. Your one-time donation of $200—representing less than 55 cents a day—provides the support we need to fulfill the additional drainage and structural work on the Barn renovation to keep these animals safe and well homed.

Each sponsorship recipient will receive:
– A handmade Scottish Highland Cow ornament made from Shaker wool
– A 5×7 photograph of Heather
– A certificate of your sponsorship with her personal story
– Donor will receive a tax receipt

This sponsorship counts towards our Sheep VS Cows fundraiser and will be tallied into the Scottish Highland team!
