Reclaimed vintage textiles have been turned into this adorable and comfy reversible apron by Jamie Ribisi-Braley of Auburn, ME.

Side one is Christmas themed featuring a front pocket made from an antique quilt square that was hand-pieced from gorgeous colorful cottons.  The front fabric is a bold and fun Christmas striped material, second side has another coordinating quilt square and a super-soft homespun plaid in .  Fully lined (including the pocket) and can be used reversible.  Neck and waist straps are made from salvaged Shaker Workshop chair tape. Even the thread is from rescued cotton thread– Making this piece 100% upcycled/salvaged materials.

Jamie loves to find handmade pieces and salvaged materials that need some love and rescue them.  This not only reduces our textile waste in landfills, but honors and continues a tradition of handmade fiber art.  Jamie is the Office Manager here at Shaker Village and loves sharing handmade traditional arts across the world.

Use with glee in your kitchen or art studio!
