Apron from Vintage Woven Fabric by Jamie Ribisi-Braley – Reversible

$70.00

Reclaimed vintage textiles have been turned into this adorable and comfy reversible apron by Jamie Ribisi-Braley of Auburn, ME.

This is the very best high-quality woven fabric– sturdy and soft, with the most beautiful mix of colors in the plaid designs ranging from purples to blues, and whites to yellows.  One fabric features woven Swiss Dots, which are elevated white dots that give it texture and softness. (Do not directly iron unless on super low temperature).

Fully lined (including the pocket) and is made to be used reversible– 2 aprons in one!  Neck and waist straps are made from salvaged Shaker Workshop chair tape in burnt orange with adjustable neck strap made from reclaimed brass rectangular rings that have been antiqued. Even the thread is from rescued spools of cotton thread– making this piece 100% upcycled/salvaged materials.

Jamie loves to find handmade pieces and salvaged materials that need some love and rescue them.  This not only reduces our textile waste in landfills, but honors and continues a tradition of handmade fiber art.  Jamie is the Office Manager here at Shaker Village and loves sharing handmade traditional arts across the world.

Use with glee in your kitchen or art studio!

Measures approximately 30″ tall from top of neckline to hem, 23″ wide between waist straps plus 33.5″ long ties on each side.  Will comfortably fit adults (model is a 2X).

Machine washable.
