Learn how to upcycle a denim jacket or jeans by painting on them with guidance from Gabrielle Stratmann of Bug-eyed Co! We will use the clothing as our blank canvas and start by sketching some different designs that work with the contours of our clothing. Then we will use paint to illustrate our ideas using a variety of techniques to make a wearable work of art that is not only beautiful, but also durable!

Participants will bring 1-3 items of clothing that they’d like to refashion.  All other supplies will be provided.

Gabrielle Jolie Stratmann infuses her whimsical sense of humor into distinct illustrations depicting snails, bugs, and animals. She loves to spend hours outdoors in her favorite state, Maine, observing little creatures in their natural worlds. Gabrielle enjoys creating with all different mediums from watercolor to embroidery.
