Shape Note Singing is a uniquely American tradition bringing communities together to sing 4-part, acapella hymns and anthems. It is a proudly inclusive and democratic part of their shared heritage. They sing primarily from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Denson edition and will have loaners available. These singings are not rehearsals or performances. The group sings for themselves, sitting in a hollow square with one voice (soprano/alto/etc) on each side. They all face the center so that they can hear and see each other.

The group welcomes beginners and newcomers, with or without musical experience or religious affiliation. Visitors are welcome to sit anywhere and participate as they like or simply listen & enjoy as they wish.
