Betsey Golon-Flatten will lead participants in a hands-on class of fragrance and fun as you learn to make a 12” wreath from fresh herbs picked in the Shaker herb garden, under cultivation since 1783. Betz will share technique, design and herbal history to help you create a unique heirloom from your time at Shaker Village.

All ages & levels welcome!

All supplies will be provided and Betsey is generously donating all proceeds to our Herb House Fundraiser!

Betsey served as herbalist and manager of the intern program here at Shaker Village from 1989-2015 and is MUCH beloved by all that take her classes & have the opportunity to work alongside her.  She currently is a board member and community garden manager for the Educational farm at Joppa Hill, Bedford, NH. She serves as herbalist honoraria for George Washington’s Mt Vernon Estate.
