Ready for the first garden workshop of the year?! We certainly are! Come and join our gardener Tyler as he walks you through the process of identifying old material and new material on lavender plants and how best to prune them after the long winter. Work and learn together as we put our hands in the soil for the first time this year in the Shakers’ historic herb gardens!

The day starts with a tour of the Shakers historic herb gardens followed by an herbal tasting activity.

A break for lunch around midday with the pruning portion of the workshop occurring after that. Participants will need to bring a bagged lunch, clothes for working in the garden, and their own pruners if they have them.

Please wear clothes and shoes that can get garden-dirty and wear a sun-hat.  Bring a bagged lunch.  Sunscreen & bug spray will be provided.

This event is family-friendly and open to all ages & abilities. Please pre-register below, if you can, so that we can plan to have enough supplies available for everyone.

This is the part of our series of free garden lunch & learn workshops.
