10am-3pm
Join us for some hands-on learning in the historic Shaker Herb Garden.
Take home fresh garden cooking herbs! Help us clean while you glean all the leftovers you can carry! The days starts at 10am with a garden tour from our gardener, Tyler, followed by a tea mixing activity and a bagged lunch. Then hands to work as we remove all of our annuals from our rows and help get the soil settled for winter! Parsley, marjoram, sage, thyme, and more for you to take home in bundles.
We’ll work on team-building and connecting by harvesting a row of herbs together, side-by-side. This always involved plenty of laughter and learning as new friends are made.
Please wear clothes and shoes that can get garden-dirty and wear a sun-hat. Bring a bagged lunch. Sunscreen & bug spray will be provided.
This event is family-friendly and open to all ages & abilities. Please pre-register below, if you can, so that we can plan to have enough supplies available for everyone.
This is the part of our series of free garden lunch & learn workshops.
