Meet new friends and renew old ties that bind us together at Shaker Village.
Please join us for this exclusive opportunity to share in the life and learn about the Shakers directly from the Shakers. This year is a unique treat as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Friends of the Shakers’ non-profit organization!
We will have a walk down memory lane on the history of the Friends of the Shakers organization — sure to be a fun time!
Brother Arnold will lead a round-table discussion on a reading that will be shared with registrants.
Michael, Brother Arnold, Jamie, and Tyler will give on-site tours and updates of the Herb House and Shaker Barn projects – reimagine how the Friends of the Shakers interact in these spaces!
We will end Saturday with the always popular Shaker music sing-along.
Lunch, dinner, dessert, and refreshments will be provided by Poland Spring Resort– THANK YOU, Cyndi!

It’s time to gather goodies for the 6th annual Friends of the Shakers’ Online & In-Person Auction Fundraiser! If you have items to donate, we are open to receiving them!
The auction will take place at the August Friends’ Weekend event & online for all to bid on.
What are we looking for? Well, be creative! Here are a few ideas…
- Gift cards/certificates, virtual or physical
- Shaker or Shaker-related item
- Individual items, themed baskets, or grouped items
- Handmade items (YES- we LOVE handmade! Let’s show each other how talented we are)
- Vacation/getaway/camp stay/experience
- Goods from Shaker Village’s online store – that means they feel the support twice! (select “Local pickup” so that shipping is not charged, include a note that it’s for the auction & we will take it from there!) maineshakers.com/shop
- Support a small local business by purchasing from them and donating it to the auction

- Drop off to Shaker Village in any of the stores or admin office
- Email virtual items to: info@friendsoftheshakers.org
- You can hold on to your item and ship directly to the winner (must ship within 1 week of end of auction & provide tracking). Please arrange with us ahead of time.

Poland Spring Resort has set aside rooms at a special Friends of the Shakers’ discount rate for all registrants. Please call (207) 998-4351 to book your stay and let them know you are attending “The Friends of the Shakers’ event.” Shuttles between the resort will also be provided.
