Meat Loaf

2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
1 teaspoon Shaker Thyme
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Dash of pepper
1 and 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs (I prefer broken up bread to commercial bread crumbs)
2 pounds hamburg, as little fat as possible
2 tablespoons Shaker Parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped onion

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl beat the eggs with the milk and seasonings. Add bread crumbs. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Add the meat, parsley and onions. Mix well until thoroughly combined. Grease a loaf pan and pack the meat loaf mixture lightly but firmly into the pan. Bake for one hour.
